I am a slacker.

Ah I totally let my blog slack off while I was preoccupied with school! Now that school is winding down (only one more final and we're finished) our family is so busy getting ready for Christmas, New Years, and then Ryker's birthday! So the time is FLYING! This weekend is going to be awesome, a very good friend from high school is going to come to the house for the weekend and bring her husband, adorable baby girl, and their puppy dog! So everyone will get a friend for the weekend! We're going to show them a good ol' Texas Hill Country time! We're going to go to Burnet, TX to Main Street Bethlehem and celebrate Christ's birth in a very realistic setting (hopefully I'll post pictures haha). The weekend after that is the weekend before Christmas, so I am sure we'll find something fun to do as a family! Then we have Christmas! Then we have New Years the next weekend. We're going to do some camping out at the Ranch with good friends of ours! Then we have two weekends before Ryker Jude comes (that is if he waits that long)!

Needless to say (even though I am going to say it) we're insanely busy! Hopefully my mommy and daddy will be here for the birth, and to spend time with Foxy man!

Speaking of which, Fox is a living replica of myself. He is not only disarmingly handsome and quite an adorable child, but he is SOOO STUBBORN! I tell him 'no' and he decides to do 'it' anyway. And today I told him no that he couldn't play in the dishwasher, and he actually bit me in the butt. Like a dog. He got spanked and then put in time out. Even after he got into trouble he wouldn't stop trying to climb in the dishwasher. Crazy kid. But then he has these moments where he just is so sweet! He will come over and kiss me for no reason, he loves on his "pup pup" (henry) and is just so soft and sweet. The rest of the time he is a typical 18month old. I do love him though.... Crazy baby.

Anyways, hopefully I'll be more dedicated to updating my blogg!

September wrap up!

So finally Texas decided to 'give it up' and get cooler !! We're still not talking sweat shirts and boots, BUT we is usually like in the low 80's. The last few days its been in the 70's, and at night it is wonderful! So the last week has been good and bad, but mostly it FLEW by!!! It feels like September has been just a bump in time. So here is the Stephens's week wrap up!

Monday: Monday was uneventful. Went to school and took my first history exam. I think I did pretty well, well see tomorrow :/ My grandmother took me to get some shrimp at Red Lobster (It was SOOOO good), after a late lunch with her they (grandmother and Fox) went to watch my little cousin's at their gymnastics practice. After my math class I went home where I caught my husband and GM icing my birthday cookie decorating it with gummie butterflies and M&M's. Fox was 'helping', actually he was just inducing himself into a diabetic comma HAHA! Fast Forward to the late hours of Monday night, I am barfing my guts out... I see Red Lobster come back up. It was awful....

Tuesday: Was my 22nd Birthday! It started out rocky I had been puking all night, and I had ten thousand pounds of Homework to do before the day was over. But Kyle took the day off to help me, which was awesome, he is the very best! Later that evening we did happy birthday to me, and Kyle took me to Barton Creek Mall. We walked around like teenagers eating pizza and talking about all the overly priced goods we would like to have. Poor Kyle tried so hard to surprise me with my birthday gifts, but none of them had come in, in time. BUT I did score some good birthday lute! One very awesome radio for my New car, thanks mom, dad, father-in-law, and husband. I got a super cute car sticker, its an A for Bama in a cute flower. I also got a Roll Tide license plate cover. My grandmother got me a beautiful shirt/sweater from Capella's, with stretchy black yoga pants! Then two sets of beautiful earrings (does she know me well or what?). All in All it was a good birthday <3 thanks family!
Kyle and GM made me a very yummy birthday cookie!

Wednesday: Boring... until I got HIT! IN MY BRAND NEW 2012 ALTIMA.... This guy totally blew through a stop sign and crushed my passenger side. Lucky for me I 1) did have Fox in the car, 2) the other driver had good insurance! My car is currently getting Fixed and I am in a rental. But before I got rudely hit, my friend Whitney took me to lunch (for my birthday)! Have such awesome friends! Needless to say, I didn't go to my Math class that night.

Thursday: My grandmother and I went to Fredericksburg TX to this adorable quilt shop. We went to find a bedding set for Ryker Jude. We were successful!! We got an awesome deal on a very cute bedding set :). Then we ate lunch at this little restaurant, it was really really good too! After that we went home and got to spend the rest of the day/night hangin' out!

Friday: I had a Dr. appointment (got to see my baby)... I am measuring a week ahead of my due date, so yay one more week killed... I am 25 weeks, and getting very excited. Of course I am nervous, I hear the jump from one to two is a painful journey! But we're doing it, ready or not! Then I took my car into the shop and picked up a rental, then hung out with my Aunt Kerri! Later that night Kyle took me out to dinner at this funky place called "Hills Cafe" in Austin. SO DANG GOOD! It is just a funky place with live music, and really good food! Can't wait to go back. And it helps that my date was really adorable too!

Saturday: It was rainy day but, we went to the pumpkin patch! I got some adorable pics of fox and Kyle... Then we went to lunch with Kyle's dad and stepmom! The rest of the night was dedicated to homework and a paper.

Over all this week was insane. But so very fun! I am ever grateful for the life that my Heavenly Father gives us! I have a beautiful family, that is healthy, and most importantly happy. My husband has a job, and I have a working able mind to go to school! Fox is adorable, so loving, and so happy <3 Very very blessed.

Catching up!

Dang this week was crazy! I knew that it was going to be jam packed full of mundane chores like school, church stuff, cleaning, xyz... I completely forgot it was my birthday weekend, and stake conference. So to update all four of my blog readers here is what our week looked like!

Monday: I hate Mondays. Not only does Kyle go back to work :(, but I have school and the 'high' of the weekend is officially over for five whole days! This Monday was particularly annoying. After leaving my baby (which I HATE), I dive all 22 miles into town for class, just to see that my professor CANCELED class. Not only did she cancel class, but she did even bother to email her students.... Totally annoying. But I had another class that night, and enough time in between to take my biology test. I took the test, and got a grade that I personally am NOT ok with. So my professor give each student two trys at each test, so I'll be retaking the test next week! I didn't fail it, but might as well if you don't get an A. After that I visited my favorite Gallini, people... killed time between the test and my next class. It was a busy depressing day, so I was glad to get out of my math class and go home! I was able to be home in time to put for to bed, and snuggle with my hunk.

Tuseday: Ahhh a day off!! Yah right! Went to Target... Thats about it haha! I studied of course, and did homework. And played with my adorable fire baby!! Fox is so adorable!

Wednesday: Another school day. My history professor decided to come to class today, which is good since we have an exam a week from today. Then I met up with my grandmother and Foxy love. We at lunch at Center Point station; if you are ever in my neck of the woods, that is the place to get a burger!!!! Then we went to Sams Club, love that place, you can buy candy in extra large bulk lol!! After that Fox and Grandmother went home, and I went to start my Math test. I think I did well (I don't know my score yet). After my test, I went back to Sam's to see Kyle (he wanted one of their hot dogs: EWWWWW). But it was nice just to see him for a few moments. After that I headed home, and he went to his church meetings. As I got home Fox and Grandmother we're rocking on the front porch, it warmed my heart when he got so excited to see me!

Thursday: Another free day! Fox and I hung out at home and baked 'no bake' oatmeal cookies, we took naps, I studied, and he danced danced danced... That is his new thing, put music on and that kid doesn't sit still! Must get it from his dad :p.... Then Grandmother and Great Grandmother Peggy (Yes there are five generations alive in my family...be jealous hehe) came to the house, and my Aunt Kerri and bother her kids came over. We hung out for a few hours and got to joke around, and just enjoy each other. Fox adores his cousins (really my first cousins, but whatever), he loves when they come to play with him. That evening I had an auxiliary training for Primary at the stake center. It was good, but the bloomin' onion I had with my a good friend that night was even better! Good food, good company! She also is the best dang primary secretary ever!

Friday: ahhhh the start to my weekend! Fox and I had breakfast with my GGMA and my GM, then they left to go to my GGMA's 69th high school reunion. *Can I just say how blessed I am to have a relationship with my Great Grandmother. Her stories about her young adult life during WWII is inspiring. She was telling me about how there aren't very many young men left in her high school class, because they all got drafted and died in the war. SUPER SAD. But she is such a strong woman, I love her sooo much, the woman in my family are so amazing. I am so lucky* After they left, Fox took a nap and I cleaned up the house, and then finished my school work up for the weekend. For lunch we went to the Hill's house to meet up with my friends Whitney, and Chow! We're going on a fun camping trip in a few weekends and needed to iron out the details! I can't wait it's going to be so much fun! Then I took a dinner to a sister in our ward that had back surgery, then went home and cooked a super yummy dinner! We had steak's, my red potatoes baked in olive oil with GARLIC *yum*. Then we had a dance party with Fox, my husband it so cute when he dances with Foxy. After that I cleaned up from dinner while Kyle gave Fox a bath. Then we put him to bed. Then Kyle and I kicked off our Fall/Halloween celebrations by watching Hocus Pocus and ate some Halloween candy! It was a great date night in! I love my husband. I can't express how important it is to make time for 'alone' time... even if you are just watching a movie. When the sun goes down the baby goes to bed, and mom and dad can hang up their super hero capes and just reconnect for a few. I love him so much!

TODAY: So Kyle is getting my birthday present installed!! New radio in my Altima :) EXCITED.... Fox and I are about to go out to the ranch to feed the horses! Then Kyle and I have Stake Conference, and Fox is going to his Grandpa and Grandma's house for the evening.

So all in all it has been a crazy busy week, but a good one! I am so blessed to have the friends I do, and a family that is so strongly connected. Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he lumped all my people together. I have some amazing girl friends, some very wonderful family members, and two boys who love me and think I am the most beautiful woman ever. Fox and Kyle are the best. I love life. So here is to a good next week! We'll be going to the pumpkin patch (expect pictures), and doing more fall stuff <3

Ryker: is 23 1/2 weeks...ahhh too fast tooo fast! But I am getting more and more excited to meet him!

Now off to play with my adorable child. If you haven't taken the time to look around you and see all the beautiful things. Do. It. Now. Family+Friends+Fall = the best time of the year!!!

Little Fox's adventures

So this week has bee somewhat crazy! School is going, a lot of studying and work. But we're making are way through it, 13 more weeks to go! Ryker will be here in 16 weeks, and I turn 22 in less than two weeks!!

Other than life being totally busy, we're having so much fun! This last week our very dry Texas dirt got some rain! YAY! Every night we pray for it to rain, and our prayers were answered! Also I've been dyeing for fall-ish weather! That too has bless my week! So on Friday, Fox sported the most adorable rain suit!! He looked like a Irish smurf!

He is such a little man, walking around being very expressive. He was telling me all about the deer that was in our neighbor's yard. Then as he was walking back towards the house he was muttering to himself, and throwing his hands in the air... He promptly turned around and looked at me like "Are you coming inside or not momma"... He totally has my facial expressions, such a funny guy!

So today we went to Cabella's and had quite an adventure...ending with two new furry friend in our family.
Well Fox wanted to hug all the stuffed animals, so we just plopped him down into the bin with all the Blond and chocolate labs, a skunk and bear ended up in there as well.

Needless to say my child was in Heaven. I am so proud that I am raising a child to love animals and respect them! He has such a loving heart, he truly was blessed with the gift of loving, he is always giving kisses and hugs. I do love this little boy more than life itself.

Even though the dogs were not on our list of things to buy, Fox got one of each, a blond lab (bradford) and a chocolate lab (henry)....

It didn't bother me to get both one dog for Ryker and one for Fox. But Fox doesn't love on one without the other. I told him that he had to pick one at bed time, he went for the chocolate lab first, then reached out his adorable chunky hand and said "pease"....So of course I caved... and he went to bed with both dogs. I AM SUCH A SUCKER...

But at the end of the day, who could not love such a sweet little man? I can say no to him, he gets put in time out, and he DOES have RULES. But when I can cave and give him something that is totally harmless, I will... over and over again. I love him, through and through, with my whole heart for my whole life!

So I realize every mother thinks their child is the most adorable child ever... But really mine is.

Fox today was in his high chair eating dinner when I got home from school, he just started kicking his legs and yelling "mumma". It warmed my heart to come home to my little red headed Fox! Also my studly husband was there, can't get much better than coming home to that man! I love that my guys are so supportive of my life ambitions. Fox really has no choice at this point, but Kyle is so supportive of me going to school and getting an education! I can't express how hard he works to provide for our family, monetarily and spiritually! With out him, I would be a shell of the person I am today.

Latest funny Kyle moment.... Friday Kyle informed me that his work is doing a weight loss challenge. Kyle this past year has lost about 40 lbs. and kept it off (very studly man). He said that it was a $75.00 buy in, but his boss already paid for him to do it, and a 500 dollar cash prize in December. I am all for that man starving himself for $500.  So fast forward to today, I come home and Kyle says "Ive already used up all my calories today, but you can have dinner with Fox." He had put together some left overs, and started feeding the monster baby. I chuckled and said "ok", he then very proudly said "Im gonna be sexy by December, and $500 richer"... For whatever reason this just made me laugh, and shake my head.. He really is quite adorable.

Anyways, other than Fox eating a large chunk of "Dove" soap, life is just peachy! Ryker is moving around SOO much. I can actually start feeling it on my palm, and so can Kyle <3. That is the best, watching your husbands face light up because he realizes your truly carrying his child. Men are so funny, they realize you're going to have a baby- their baby. But until they have a physical manifestation of what you've been feeling all along, it really doesn't hit them. When is DOES finally happen (in this case it was feeling Ryker kick) their expression of awe and gratitude is something that just melts my heart. 21 weeks down, 17 weeks to go... ahhhh time is going by so fast!

What I look like right now... Cute, little, and my weight stays between 130-133 Lbs...

What I will look like four months from now... Not cute, not little, and NOT  even close to 133 Lbs.
(me 8 months pregnant with Fox)

But at the end of they day, I make some ADORABLE children. My fox is quite possibly- Breath taking.
(This picture is taken by my friend Gloria Zeno, go  here  to set up a photo shoot...she is amazing)

My random blog

My birthday is sneaking up on me this year! I just realized its in 20 days! I can't wait to chow down on "endless shrimp" at Red lobster with my prince charming.

Speaking of that tall drink of water, he makes me laugh every single day. Today we walked around Sam's club, and bought dog food, but mostly just spent time childless. I got out of class at 7 pm, and he didn't have a church meeting until 8:30 pm so it was a nice little mini date. While we were looking at stuff Kyle said something like "when we have another baby"... I don't think its dawned on us that we're not only going to have another baby, but we're having another baby like... in like four months. HOLY CRAP that is like tomorrow. But we're going to be excited, I can't wait to meet this little man!

But I am so unbelievably grateful for my husband. He is not only a total hottie, and he does look like prince charming, but he is such a hard worker!! Everyday he goes to work, and busts it out like no other! I am able to stay home and do school full time because my husband is perfectly happy being so hard working. But what really sets him above the bar is what he does when he comes home. He doesn't have "his time", he starts playing with Fox, and helps me clean up the house and cook dinner. But what I value most is his dedication to his faith in God. He loves serving the Lord, and being a tool in our Father's hands. He not only wants to serve, but loves to serve. I stand in awe of this handsome hunky man of mine... I got so lucky, so very very lucky....

Now after my little non-themed blog, I am going to go snuggle up to my hunky manly man, and count how many different ways he makes me happy... night y'all!

Really? How did I get so lucky? He isn't just a best friend, being married to your best friend wont keep the fire alive 20 years from now. He is my all, my love-friend-partner-bed warmer-and eye candy.... I wouldn't trade one day with him, for a life time with someone else. <3

School and Church

Yay! We survived the first week of mommy being back to school! I am taking four core classes (what the crap was I thinking?!?), two are online and two are in a classroom. So really it isn't too bad, just a lot of reading and staying EXTRA organized. Sometimes I do really well at the organization part of my life, but it doesn't come naturally for me. I have had to learn what exactly works best for me as a student, especially in college. So for the past two semesters, and the next trillion years, my agenda is like more important than life itself. If I were to misplace it... YikEs! But have no fear I don't see that happening ... hopefully!

Here is an accurate depiction of my organization battle while doing homework.

What my study space usually looks like.
What my study space should look like...hahahah Ya right.

Anyways, on to the more important reason for this blog... I grew up always looking your best for church, not HAVING the best, but looking and feeling YOUR best. I understand that holds different standards for different people. But for me and my family when we go to church we need to look our best. Nice WHITE shirts, church pants and shoes, and a Tie. The tie is optional for Fox, but not for my husband. I would like Kyle to put his suit on for special Sundays, when we're blessing one of our babies, or giving talks, or going to a baptism. I don't require it for every Sunday, mostly because its 8000 trillion degrees in Texas. I really love it when I see my husband, and all his buddies (mostly my girl friend's husbands) in their Sunday best setting the standard for our sons. I believe when you are looking clean and neat, your mind set is different than if you were just in slacks and a button up. My husband frequently gets annoyed with my antics, but I love seeing my son and his father dressed appropriately to worship our Father in Heaven. Plus, who doesn't love seeing their studly man all handsome?!? I cannot wait for the change of weather and for Kyle to start wearing his church sweaters, same for Fox.... they looks so stinking cute!!!

Our family: Mommy, Daddy, Foxy, and baby Ryker (he is in the oven)

He is so cute I cannot even stand it! My future Missionary!

*Kyle you're awesome and such a wonderful example for our sons! I love you so much <3*
